The Reactive Dog: Training and management tools while out in public
Are there more reactive dogs out in the world today? Reactivity can be an almost contagious behavior in a neighborhood, and sometimes trigger even more reactivity in the recipient dogs over time. People with reactive dogs often seek the advice of a trainer, and are given behavior modification protocols. But wouldnt it be a better world if EVERYONE managed their dogs in publicreactive and non-reactive?
This seminar covers how to navigate and maneuver through the world with a dog that barks, growls and lunges at other dogs, and encourages techniques that can (and should...) be used by all dog owners.
While keeping a comfortable distance from other dogs can help, there is a lot more we can do to prevent the eruption of dog-dog reactivity or aggression.
In this presentation, Sue will show what reactivity is, what dog on dog aggression looks like, and show training tips and management for ALL DOGS--not just the reactive ones.
