This is a true story based on the life of little dog in Romania. I was drawn to Fleur by a single photograph on the Valgrays Border Collie Rescue facebook page. Val Philips the founder of Valgrays was looking for someone to adopt Fleur back in October 2014. We were lucky to be chosen to adopt Fleur. This brave and loving dog was cruelly mutilated in Romania. Fleur survived the cruellest treatment against all the odds, she had been so crudely spayed that her intestines were left hanging out her frail body back in October 2014. Before she came to England she had to be fit and well, she had a repair in Romania but then she became ill with distemper.
After waiting for Fleur for 4 months she was fit and well to travel to England. We adopt Fleur and just after 3 weeks, she became ill again. The repair to her damaged intestines had failed and only the best vets in the world at The Royal Veterinary College Potters Bar could save her, Fleurs chances of survival was very low. She also had the life-threatening sepsis but against all the odds she survived. Follow her amazing journey of survival cheating death not once, not twice but three times.
