The Haqihana harness is individually hand-made in Italy, and is designed to give maximum comfort in all situations. The fit ensures that pressure is properly distributed on the dog’s sternum and thorax, which helps to prevent pulling.

All parts that have contact with the dog’s skin are finished with a special stitching. This prevents rubbing, particularly in short-haired dogs.Made from high tenacity spun-dried nylon, this harness comes with a 5 year guarantee.

The only harnesses endorsed by world famous author and dog trainer Turid Rugaas.Turid Rugaas says: "A comfortable harness like this allows freedom of movement and there is no pinching behind the front legs. The dog does not pull because he feels comfortable and is relaxed."

Design The positioning of the harness on the dog has been carefully studied to guarantee maximum comfort in all situations. Pressure is properly distributed on the dog’s sternum and thorax only, even when the dog is pulling, jerking or being restrained. The harness does not cause pain, sense of restriction, friction or injury to the skin, and does not limit movement or create other discomfort. The two buckles and their position make putting on and removing the harness trouble-free for dog and owner.

Webbing - The webbing is made of high tenacity, spun-dyed nylon-6 which guarantees colour homogeneity and resistance. The special characteristics of nylon (polyamide) make it particularly suitable for harness and leash production. In fact, amongst synthetic fibers, nylon is well-known for its softness, optimal strength-to-weight ratio, abrasion resistance, and chemical and biological stability. Finally, it is fully recyclable. Manufacture - The harnesses are hand-made paying great attention to detail. Safety and comfort for the dog are paramount. All parts are sewn together with secure stitching and the overlapping parts, which have contact with the skin, are finished with a special stitching to avoid any rubbing, particularly in the short-haired dog.

The Plastic Components The buckles and adjusters are made of acetal resin which maintains longlasting mechanical and shock resistance even in extreme conditions. The plastic parts are rounded off and have no sharp edges in order to ensure the dog’s comfort.

Sizes and Adjustability The eleven sizes on offer, and the five adjustment points on each size guarantees allows for a huge amount of adjustment in order to fit dogs of all shapes and sizes.

Guarantee Harnesses are guaranteed for five years from date of purchase for any defect, breakage or other that is not considered normal wear and tear and when it occurs during the correct use of the product. Haqihana reserves the right to verify correct use of the product. Incorrect use is considered for example chewing of parts or failing to follow washing instructions.

Size Guide

The most important measurement to take is the girth measurement. Measure your dog around his middle, about four fingers back from the elbow. We are happy to offer advice on fitting so please contact us with any questions. We are also happy to exchange harnesses in an as new condition if you do find you have bought the wrong size.

The versions ML, SL, XSL and XXSL have longer straps that run along the dog’s torso (back and abdomen) and are intended for long bodied dogs such as Dachshunds and whippets. We also have the Double H version that comes with a second strap, ideal for deep chested dogs, such as Greyhound.

Washing instructions - Haqihana harnesses and leashes can be washed by hand or machine washed on a gentle cycle (we suggest placing them in a laundry bag made for delicate items). Use the same care that you would for washing a wool sweater (mild detergent and cold or lukewarm water). Hang out in a dry place away from direct sunlight.Do not tumble-dry.
