This book is devoted to an analysis of canine hip scores using data for four breeds obtained from the UK Kennel Club. Starting scores for some 80,000 animals the basic characteristics of their distribution were explored and found to correspond very closely to theoretical predictions from genetic theory. The effects of parent and grandparent scores are explored, together with 16-year trends in average scores.
